# Posted: 6 Jun 2011 11:15:24 It's a competition between technologies: 3dviastudio (Dassault Systems) vs WebGL, (and more: 3dvia/IE-FF/windows vs Webgl/IE9-FF4/Windows-Linux). The purpose is to create a 3D application, executable in a browser, accompanied by its realization doc. Thus, if all goes well, a beginner with WebGL or 3dviastudio will have available a full explanation on how to make a full 3D application, starting with concrete example. This challenge is for masters or beginners in Webgl or 3dviastudio.You have to build a web based 3d editor like software, which permits to build, in a web browser, a 3d object from a library of parametrizable shapes and in a parallel way, create a documentation on how you design it and how you build it. It is the natural way you work (it should be) : you think about what you want to do, you write it (in case of something interrupts your work), and you implement it.Prizes : 1000 euros cash and tons of access to EMAO workshop (SVG tool providing ready-to-print shapes of basic 3D objects http://www.visualkit.com).You have until November 30, 2011! (end of registration September 30, 2011)Open to 3 categories : individuals, teams or school or equivalent.no geographical limit, no age limit.read all theses documents carefully: * Introducing the contest : http://labo.visualkit.com/en/competitions/node/14 * Specific Rules for the competition WEBGL - 3Dviastudio : http://labo.visualkit.com/en/competitions/node/143 * Software Description : http://labo.visualkit.com/en/competitions/node/145 * Description of Shapes library : http://labo.visualkit.com/en/competitions/node/146All competitors have an equal chance to win. good luck talented people!
